Born in South African and living in Philadelphia, USA. Hot in the scene spinning records in the mid-2000s and sponsored by Universal Music, Yonzi was one of the first DJs and nightclub event organizers in Johannesburg (JHB), South Africa to mix, blend and promote the combination of electro/tech house, with Afro house. Today, AfroTech/house is one of the most popular electronic music genres out there. Yonzi took a 15 year break from DJing to focus on his career and studies. He never lost the passion for music, and got back into DJing during the pandemic. Prior to moving to the States, Yonzi spent 10 years in Israel, while there he both enjoyed and worked in the phenomenal Tel Aviv nightlife. Yonzi is inspired by the scenes in JHB, Tel Aviv, East Coast (US) and beyond.
